Course Description
About The Workshop : Discover the traditional art of kiln-fired cloisonné filigree enameling, where delicate copper wire shapes your design and finely powdered glass fuses onto a copper base in a high-temperature kiln, creating a luminous surface rich in color and depth. Through step-by-step guidance, you’ll work with a pre-prepared copper base and arrange copper filigree to create your own pattern. Explore transparent and opaque enamels, learning how to place and layer colors within your design before firing your piece in the kiln under guidance. Along the way, you’ll discover how firing time and temperature influence the enamel’s texture, depth, and color. Observe how the powdered glass melts and transforms into a luminous surface, with each firing bringing its own subtle variations. Workshop Highlights : - Preparation and understanding of copper as an enameling base - Proper firing procedures using a kiln - Working with transparent and opaque (solid) enamel colors - Learning proper kiln-firing procedures, including safety, timing, and temperature Techniques Covered: - Sifting (dry application) for even enamel coverage - Wet packing for controlled color placement and detail - Creating copper filigree patterns and arranging them on a copper base - Enameling on single-sided surfaces Class Size: Maximum of six participants per class Note: - All copper bases are pre-cut and prepared by the instructor, allowing you to focus fully on the enameling process. - Each participant will complete one vitreous cloisonné enamel copper charm during the workshop - Workshops can be taught in English/Cantonese - ~2 - 2.5 hours workshop - Suitable for participants aged 16 and above - 關於工作坊 : 探索傳統掐絲琺瑯工藝，透過高溫窯燒，讓細緻的玻璃質琺瑯粉熔融並附著於銅胎表面，讓玻璃質琺瑯粉與銅胎在高溫中交融，呈現溫潤而持久的光澤。 在循序漸進的指導下，你將使用預先備好的銅胎，以銅絲勾勒、排列出屬於自己的圖案。透過嘗試透明與不透明琺瑯，學習如何在圖案中填色、配色與層層施釉，再於導師指導下，親自將作品入窯燒製。 過程中，你將了解燒製時間與溫度如何影響琺瑯的表面質感、層次與色澤，並觀察粉末狀的琺瑯如何受熱熔融，化為富有光澤的釉面。每一次窯燒都會帶來細微而獨特的變化，讓作品呈現專屬於你的個性。 工作坊亮點 : - 紫銅作為琺瑯基底之準備與基礎認識 - 窯爐燒製之正確操作流程與要點 - 透明與不透明琺瑯釉料之應用與特性說明 - 學習正確的窯燒程序，包括安全操作、燒製時間與溫度控制 課程內容涵蓋以下技法： - 篩粉法（乾式施釉），以達成均勻且穩定之釉層覆蓋 - 濕鋪法，用於精準控制色彩配置與細節表現 - 製作銅絲圖案，並排列於銅胎上，創作自己的設計 - 單面金屬表面之琺瑯製作工法 課堂人數: 可接受單人報名，最多六人一班 備註: - 所有銅胎均由導師預先裁切並完成表面處理，讓你能專注於銅絲掐絲創作與琺瑯施釉的過程 - 每位學員於工作坊期間將完成一件紫銅掐絲琺瑯吊飾 - 課程可提供英語／粵語授課 - 工作坊時間約為 2 至 2.5 小時 - 適合 16 歲或以上人士參加

Please note that all payments are non-refundable, even if you choose to cancel your session at a later date. Participants arriving more than 30 minutes late will be considered no-shows and will not be admitted. Cancellations, postponements, class transfers, or refunds are not permitted unless the class is canceled by us due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances that prevent us from conducting the session. Make-up lessons cannot be arranged for any missed classes, regardless of the reason or supporting documentation provided. *Each workshop seat is strictly limited to one registered participant. Two people may not share one workshop seat. Accompanying persons are not allowed.
